Privacy
HeartMirror doesn't collect any data. No account, no server, no analytics.
Updated 23 September 2026.
Apple Health
HeartMirror reads:
- Heart rate and resting heart rate, to set your zones.
- Date of birth, to estimate your max heart rate.
- Sex and weight, to estimate calories.
It writes workouts, heart rate and active energy when you save a workout.
This data stays on your iPhone and in Apple Health. Change access in Settings โ Health โ Data Access & Devices.
Bluetooth
Used to connect to your heart rate monitor. HeartMirror reads heart rate, beat-to-beat intervals, sensor contact and battery level, and remembers your monitor so it can reconnect.
Apple Watch
If you use your Watch as the sensor, it sends your heart rate directly to your iPhone and nowhere else.
Stored on your iPhone
Your workout history, programs and settings, plus a backup of any workout in progress. These may be included in your iPhone backups.
Tracking and ads
None. HeartMirror has no third-party code.
Deleting your data
Swipe to delete a workout in History, or delete the app to remove everything. Workouts saved to Apple Health stay there until you delete them in the Health app.
Medical
HeartMirror isn't a medical device. Zones, calories and recovery are estimates.
Changes
If this ever changes, I'll update this page before that version is released.
